Kroger Community Rewards

Here is another opportunity to support the church. If you shop at Kroger, we are a part of their Community Rewards program. To join, just go to, choose Community, then choose Kroger Community Rewards. You will then need to sign in to an existing account or create one. Then just choose the church – New River Valley Community Church. The org number is 81994. Thanks so much!

Winter Weather – When the weather outside is wintery and the roads and parking lots are icy we may need to cancel church services on Sunday morning.  If church services are cancelled due to severe weather, we will make the decision as early as possible and then get word out through these channels:

  • WDBJ Channel 7 & WSLS Channel 10 (or their websites)
  • Announcement on NRVCC’s Facebook

Christmas Parade – This year’s Christmas parade will be on Friday, Dec. 8th at 7 pm. We need people to help with and ride on the float. We would also love to see some familiar faces in the crowd!  If you are interested, please sign up on the sign-up sheet in the lobby.

Samaritan Inn Gift BagsThe Missions Team is collecting packs of gum, lip balm, and hard candy for gift bags for the Samaritan Inn in Roanoke.  Our goal is 124 of each item. Sunday, December 16th is the last day we can accept donations. Please consider helping with this ministry reaching people for Christ’s sake.  Stop by the Missions Table or see Kim Bowman for more information.

Pop Top Collection – We would love to give back to the Ronald McDonald house by donating pop tops.  All proceeds go to help operate the RMD house.  Just save the pop top off of your cans each week and place them in the container labeled “Pop Tops” on the Missions Table.  THANKS FOR THE MANY POP TOPS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONATED!!!
